İstanbul
I've been to Istanbul many times before for work, and I've also visited here as a tourist a few times. Nevertheless, I believed there was still plenty to discover in this vibrant and exciting city. So, I decided to begin my trip to Seoul with a more extended layover here. I embarked without a specific plan, allowing myself to immerse in the whirlwind of Istanbul and wander aimlessly through the streets with my camera. I booked a decent hotel near the Galata Tower and spent the night in the bustling neighborhood.
I woke up early to make the most of those few hours before boarding the plane to Seoul. First, I headed to Eminönü harbor, crossing the Galata Bridge, where locals were peacefully fishing with cigarettes in their mouths. Later in the morning, after passing the ferry station, which was filled with the sound of seagulls and ships' horns, I took a leisurely walk along the famous Istiklal Street to Taksim Square, where I lingered for a little while longer.
I concluded my brief trip with a visit to the architecturally impressive Ataturk Cultural Center.
